You get the feeling that the country is being loved to death. Many of the parks that we visited felt like they were overrun with tourists, most of them nature lovers like us. The increased human presence appears to be pushing the natural wildlife to the fringes. But the country’s mantra: Pura Vida, meaning pure life, is still very much in play with Costa Ricans, young and old.
